The Boys Are Back In Town

Anyone who was at Slane does that song still bring a smile to your face? The crowd were wild when that song was on and there wasn't even anyone on stage. Thin Lizzy are great and later U2 did Dancing In The Moonlight.
They were a great band. I just thought I would mention that.

Definitely UV, and I have loved that song for years anyway, now it just gives me an even bigger thrill!

In fact the 3 lead up songs before Elevation, now only mean one thing to me and I love it! I never thought I'd get so excited about the opening chords of Sergeant Peppers as I do now

I want Larry on lead vocals at Slane 3 singing this song

------------------
"The bass player's got it. The bass player's fucking got it." Bono, Boston 6-9-01

Yep, whenever I hear that song it takes me right back

By the way, what is that other song called that came after that(I think) but before Sargent Pepper? It had the line "Lovers, keep loving" and lots of others like that in. I should probably know it but I don't have a clue

Truly, I think the other 1 is Marvin Gaye? I dunno, it's in an ad on tv at the moment, can't think of it.....
And zoomanda, same with me, thats all I think of, and I'm always declaring it when the ad comes on with the Marvin Gaye? song too!

I think you're thinking of "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder. Here are the lyrics:

People keep on learnin'
Soldiers keep on warrin'
World keep on turnin'
Cause it won't be too long
Powers keep on lyin'
While your people keep on dyin'
World keep on turnin'
Cause it won't be too long
I'm so darn glad he let me try it again
Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
Till I reach the highest ground
Teachers keep on teachin'
Preachers keep on preachin'
World keep on turnin'
Cause it won't be too long
Oh no
Lovers keep on lovin'
Believers keep on believin'
Sleepers just stop sleepin'
Cause it won't be too long
Oh no
I'm so glad that he let me try it again
Cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
Till I reach my highest ground...Whew!
Till I reach my highest ground
No one's gonna bring me down
Oh no
Till I reach my highest ground
Don't you let nobody bring you down (they'll sho 'nuff try)
God is gonna show you higher ground
He's the only friend you have around
FADE
