Of The Edge's three main vocal performances (Seconds, Van Deiman's Land and Numb) which do you think is the best? I challenge you to rate them, from best to worst. Have any of these been perfomed live?

Here's my list:
  1. Seconds
  2. Numb
  3. Van Deiman's Land
    [/list=1]

When I first heard Seconds was sung by The Edge, I was shocked. He sounds soo much like Bono it isn't funny.

 This part, I think

Takes a second to say goodbye, say goodbye
Takes a second to say goodbye, say goodbye
Oh, oh, oh, say bye-bye.
Where you going to now?
Lightning flashes across the sky
East to West, do and die.
Like a thief in the night, see the world by candlelight.

In an apartment on Times Square
You can assemble them anywhere.
Held to ransom, hell to pay
A revolution every day.
U.S.S.R., G.D.R., London, New York, Peking.
It's the puppets, it's the puppets pull the strings, yeah.

They both sing on the "atomic bomb" verse.

Seconds

SBS -solo

Numb

Van Diemans

Everyone forgot the "Waaa Waaa Waaa Wanderin'" part of
The wanderer Live

What about all the Popmart karaoke tunes? I've got a whole disc of them, but I think my favorite ones are Sweet Caroline, Daydream Believer, and Suspicious Minds.

Of the ones mentioned, I'd rank them

1. Popmart SBS
2. crazy high falsetto in Stuck in a Moment
3. verse in Miracle Drug
4. Numb
5. Van Dieman's Land
6. Seconds

Almost. ;) Edge only sings the first stanza you have up there, Bono sings the second stanza, and both sing the last verse.

stuck in a moment for me , pure gold , maybe my best u2 vocal actually.

1. Van Diemen's Land
2. SBS Popmart
3. Seconds
4. Numb
5. Corpse (These Chains Are Way Too Long)

Edge's solo on the last lines of "In a Little While" on the Elevation DVD.

And of course, "Numb" (don't expect, suggest.)

Both of which make up for him being flat on the intro to "Walk On" but it's a lovely line anyway.

The Fly (live version)
PopMart SBS
Numb
Miracle Drug
City of Blinding Lights (chorus)
Seconds
Stuck In A Moment...
Last Night on Earth (chorus)
Yaweh
Gloria
Lemon

and his little "bits" sung on other songs are pretty cool too:
Gone: "down"
I Threw A Brick Through A Window: "brother"

He only sings the first verse of seconds, the rest is bono.

Numb is his best vocal, but van diemand land is beautiful too, especially live on lovetown.
