This post just came to me while I was listening to some of the random live mp3's I have.

What are your top five songs that you would want to hear live, that you know the band has played, but know you never will because they have (at least for now) put them into the vault?

Mine would be:

1. Hawkmoon 269 (the lovetown versions are amazing)
2. Zooropa (I never knew they ever even played this until I heard it, incredible)
3. So Cruel (same as above...)
4. One Tree Hill (fav song ever...)
5. An Cat Dubh (just for kicks...)

What are yours?

1.Last Night On Earth
2. MOFO
3. The Ocean
4. An Cat Dubh - Into The Heart
5. Stories For Boys
6. Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me
7. Love is Blindness

Acrobat
Unforgettable Fire
God Part II

...but I am still hopeful...

I can't say I'll never hear these, but I haven't yet and would love to, so I'll keep to door open to the possibility:

A Sort of Homecoming
She's A Mystery to Me
In God's Country

She's Mystery to Me

A few months ago, this would have made my list, too. But Bono surprised me by doing a solo version of it in Hartford, the first time it had been played in years.

You never know with them, what they might drag out of the closet.

sulawesigirl4, dont you have a copy of the Under A Blood Red Sky video?? They play Seconds on it. They played Seconds at almost every show of the War tour and the Unforgettable Fire tour. But they have not played it since the Unf. Fire tour.

All I've got is the BBC version of "She's A Mystery to Me" where somebody keeps fucking up the guitar chords and the song is thus brought to a quick conclusion.

All Along the Watchtower (I know, it's a cover, but they used to play it a lot)

And more ...

Didn't they do a version of that at Boston 4 as well? (I should remember, I was there...but it's been a week since I listened to the boot.
