Well, taking the "Wire - possible single", I'd like t know from you, guys, what songs (from the albums, or even some b-sides) could have been singles, or what songs had good potential to turn singles.

I've liked the choices that U2 has made in regards to their singles over the years. I think I would have changed or added the following:

One Tree Hill - this should have been a single worldwide. It would have been a monster hit after Where The Streets Have No Name. I've never understood why. JT was such a huge hit that they could have released three more singles off of it and they all would have done well.

Until The End Of The World - instead of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses

Gone - the strongest song on Pop, in my opinion. I would have liked it as the third single after Staring At The Sun.

Kite - my favorite from ATYCLB

Running To Stand Still would've been a single off any album other than the Joshua Tree. It is an amazing, amazing song... It's very probable that RTSS would've done as well as ISHFWILF... but alas... there is no way a band in there right mind would release 3 slow ballads off one album.

One Tree Hill easily could've had a world wide realise also.

Dirty Day (Somewhere between live, the origional and Bitter Kiss) & Until The End Of The World would've also been fine singles. I really think that U2 dropped the ball with WGRYWH as a single...they could've done so much better.

I haven't really heard about this in the past but was Love Is Blindness ever considered as a single. It strikes me as bizzare that a video would be made only to be a b-side on Numb... but that could be possible I suppose. Maybe it was left on the cutting room floor.

Also I've seen test pressings of Ultraviolet around the place, was that ever considered? I totally think it wouldve out performed WGRYWH which as an a-side is amongst there worst.
