Trip Through Your Wires

In the distance she saw me coming 'round
I was calling out, I was calling out

Still shaking, still in pain
You put me back together again
I was cold, you clothed me, honey
I was down, you lifted me, honey

Angel, angel or devil
I was thirsty and you wet my lips
You, I'm wating for you
You, you set my desire
I trip through your wires

I was broken, bent out of shape
I was naked in the clothes you made
My lips were dry, throat like rust
You gave me shelter from the heat and the dust
No more water in the well
No more water, water

Angel, angel or devil
I was thirsty and you wet my lips
You, I'm waiting for you
You, you set my desire
I trip through your wires

All I need, all I need
All I need, all I need
All I need, all I need
All I need yeah yeah

Thunder, thunder on the mountain
There's a rain cloud in the desert sky
In the distance she saw me coming 'round
I was calling out, I was calling out

I know many people do not really like this song, but I do. It's a great, fun song. Bluesy, yet the mood is not so somber as on the rest of The Joshua Tree. One of the highlights of that album for me.

a funky upbeat song in an otherwise very calculated, depressing-like album, certainly good for a change

not one of my favourites, but certainly not bad either

I love this song! I love the fact that's its fun and bright. I love the whooping and woo-hooing. I love the harmonica.

What I don't love is the fact that songs like Spanish Eyes or Sweetest Thing could have been on the album, instead of Trip Through Your Wires.

What is this? You have a song for every day of the year?

Trip Thru Your Wires is good but not great, in my opinion. The main problem is that it sticks out like a sore thumb. It's the only light hearted song in an album full of serious material. It should've been released as a b-side or shelved for a different album.
