I love "40"! It's a beautifully simple but expressive song, a great concert closer, and a fine ending to the War album. Overall, a nice useage of scripture in a song.

Walk On is a great closer, and so is Bad. Both leave you feeling just great after a concert.

However, 40 is undeniably the greatest closer for a U2 concert.

Vertigo x2 is by far the worst from that list. In fact Vertigo x2 is horrible period!





to 40, a nice closer but not as good as LIB, AIWIY, WUDM, MOTD or even MLK.

I think when we say Vertigo times 2 we mean the second vertigo that closes it, because it kicks the crap out of the first Vertigo and actually acts as a great closer...it opening i can do without, but it doesn't bother me that much.

Oh... I didn't know that the 'closer' Vertigo sounds different, my bad! Even then though, playing a song twice and that too a mediocre one like Vertigo is just lazy.
