With misinterpreted quotes, increasing age and widening waistlines causing undue panic in some fans thinking U2 will break up, I thought it would be useful to list the things that are sure signs that U2 really is breaking up. Please add to the list!

1. Bono plays guitar for an entire show.

2. Red Hill Mining Town video is released.

Bono actually remembers every single lyric on the opening night of a tour.

Edge is playing the blues with a fairly jazzy tone.

Also I feel that in ten years time U2 will not exist but the band members will still be active.

Yes U2 and Metallica are to merge.

3. Acrobat is finally played live
OMG yes.

i think if i were to ever meet the band, i would DEFINITELY ask them why they've never played Acrobat live. or else my life won't be complete and i'll die a sad U2-less death.

you guys are so clever! good ones, everybody ;]

Adam has a sudden urge to front U2.

A new album has a title that can be said in a single breath.

U2 releases an album entitled "Man."

Then announce their breakup after the tour, only to announce the next day that they're re-uniting to make an album called Greedy Old Bastards In Fancy Wheelchairs.

U2 do not play any shows in the U.S., and instead devote their time to touring Southeast Asia, Russia, Indonesia and Africa.
