Yes we want the he said / she said whole story. DETAILS.

What did Bono say? What did Gavin say? Did they speak of new music? How was Bono's driving?

Congrats, but we really would like to hear a complete itemized detailed story.

Im still in shock, mainly because its not everyday something like it happens.

Basically he approached us and we chatted to him for a few minutes and then he said that he was heading into town, and if we wanted a lift... it was a tough decision really, i would have preferred to walk

Well Iíve been trying to get my head around it a bit, and guys basically what happened is this:

I had been working my butt off here in Dublin and normally donít get home until really late, but on this occasion finished early and decided to meet Rosa for a rare (ha!) pint of Guinness at Dockers. Anyway, two things conspired to take us to the studio Ė one is Ė I had never seen it before, and just wanted to know where it was, and the other is it is next door to the old gasworks, and I am an environmental consultant who cleans up contaminated land, and I have a perverse interest in these things. Anyway, we walked over and checked the studio out, and in a matter of minutes there was Adam, being followed by Dallas.
You know you are cool when you meet U2 members and decide to completely ignore them - I did this with Adam, for some reason saying hello to Dallas instead.
I wont live that one down for a while.

To cut a long story short, we decided to chill out on the seat placed by the cement works for a while, as we talked about all sorts of crap, and there were enough movements going at the studio on so it was interesting, with Gavin Friday, Bono and Larry all coming and going. We both decided that we werenít going to hassle the band at all and just watch the comings and goings from a distance.

Anyway a little later all of a sudden thereís Bono in his Mercedes - we werenít expecting it at all. He winds down drivers the side window and ushers us towards him. He then parks, gets out of the car, comes over, introduces himself and we have a chat. He was very polite and genuinely interested in where we were from. After a brief discussion he offers us a lift into town, so we jump in the back. Low and behold his old buddy Gavin Friday is in the passengers seat, and we are introduced. So Rosa and I are chauffeured in style along the quays. We talked about a few things that we remember to varying and differing degrees (everything is a bit of a blur).

He dropped us back at Dockers and we jumped out of the car. Rosa and I quietly exited in style, calmly among a few onlookers, walked into the pub and in the next hour proceeded to quickly down about 5 whiskys.

It was only a couple of minutes, but it again is worth saying that he was very, very genuine, and seemed to take a real interest in us and what we were doing. As I said previously, the whole U2 thing could not have happened to a better bunch of guys.

Hope this answers your questions! Rosa you wanna add anything?

Something about meeting U2 makes you go on out and drink too much, eh Michael?

I love this story. Bono is such a nice guy and seems to genuinely like his fans.
