I think this is as big a blow out as we've seen yet.

I also think it's worth mentioning that those who critique the intro to Hawkmoon should consider the outro of VDL (the interview) as a negative. If you're able to ignore it, just as easily should you ignore the organ thing.

Well, I don't consider that interview - or the crowd noise at the start - as a part of VDL. The crowd noise is part of Helter Skelter and the interview is something else entirely and should be its own track, or preferably not there entirely. The cheesy 15 seconds opening Hawkmoon is actually part of the song.
 
I usually like to pretend it's not. That crashing in of the drums is cool, I prefer it. So, I pretend.
