The Three Sunrises is the winner of the last round.

VOTE FOR YOUR LEAST FAVORITE SONG

Polls will remain open for 24 hours for the non-album track rounds.

Songs in this round:

- Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)
- Walk To The Water
- Spanish Eyes
- Deep In The Heart
- Silver And Gold
- Race Against Time
- Hallelujah Here She Comes
- A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel

Criteria for song selection (at least for the albums): anything on the regular pressings of the Best Of 1980-1990, Best Of 1990-2000, and U2:18 is excluded.

If you are unfamiliar with these songs, please post your email address, and I will email you links to download the songs in these non-album rounds (even though most of us may have some of the songs already).

A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel. Easily one of the worst U2 songs ever recorded.

Spanish Eyes needs to win this thing. It not only should have been on The Joshua Tree instead of Trip, it should have also been a single.

My rankings of this group:

1. Spanish Eyes
2. Luminous Times
3. Hallelujah Here She Comes
4. Race Against Time
5. Silver And Gold
6. Deep In The Heart
7. Walk To The Water
8. A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel

Depending on my mood, I may swap 3rd and 4th. Perhaps 6th and 7th too.

1. Luminous Times (Hold on to Love)
2. Spanish Eyes
3. Race Against Time
4. Hallelujah Here She Comes
5. Silver and Gold
6. Walk to the Water
7. Deep in the Heart
The Sweetest Thing
8. A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel

Ah yeah, I forgot Sweetest Thing. I agree with your placement of it. But since we essentially agree on the entirety of the rest of the rankings, that's hardly a shock.

(Before anyone asks: remember, this is Rest Of U2 Survivor, i.e. songs on the Best Ofs like Sweetest Thing are excluded.)

This is also a tough poll. ( glad Three Sunrises won last poll:wink: )
I voted Race Against Time.
A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel is slightly better.
But that one`s next on my list.

Cheers ,

Mauwer

Hallelujah Here She Comes

What's with all the A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel hate?

God, Spanish Eyes is overrated. I would like it if the vocal wasn't absolute shit. It's much better live.

Hallelujah Here She Comes and Luminous Times are probably the best here.

I think Hallelujuh here she Comes though being enjoyable is the least good ne here together with Race against time

Spanish eyes is good but not Luminous Times good

The vocal on Spanish Eyes is one of my absolute favorites. If I were to play some songs for a non-U2 fan, Spanish Eyes would be one of the ones I would pick to showcase how cool Bono used to sound.

"And I LOOOOOVE the way you talk to me..."

There are some damn good songs in this round. But I think the only one that really deserves to win is Luminous Times. That song is incredible. I had a religious experience listening to it in the car on a cold winter's night one

Fucking awesome group of songs. Heartbreak is easily the first one that needs to go, but damn, this is gonna be a good survivor series.

Heartbreak, no doubt.
Spanish Eyes... the "spanish EeEeeEEeyes" bit makes me cringe, so I will be voting that next time out

I voted Hotel...

But I am in the "Spanish Eyes is over rated" camp. It's barely in third place here. Falls well behind Luminous Times, gets nudged out by Walk To The Water, and fights to keep above Hallelujah Here She Comes.

It's a great batch of songs, best we will see in the B-Sides rounds (or the last two album rounds  ), but I know what's getting my votes.

On to the good B-sides.

Race against time, and let's deal with songs with actual lyrics later.
