I, like many others, love the Rattle and Hum album, although I think most of us can agree that it's a bit uneven in spots. I think that it would've been better if U2 had left out the live tracks, and instead put out a studio album. Maybe they could've put some of the best live tracks from the movie on a bonus EP, with the remaining love songs being used as B-sides. Here's what I think these albums could have looked like:
Rattle and Hum:
1. Desire
2. Van Deimans Land
3. hawkmoon 269
4. Hallelujah here She Comes
5. When Love Comes To Town
6. Heartland
7. Angel Of Harlem
8. Love Rescue Me
9. A Room At The Hearbreak Hotel
10. Dancing Barefoot
11. God Part II
12. All I Want is You
Bonus Live EP
1. All Along The Watchtower
2. Sunday Bloody Sunday
3. Running To Stand Still
4. In God's Country
5. Pride
Singles:
1. Desire/ Helter Skelter (live)/ Bullet The Blue Sky (live)
2. Angel of Harlem/ Unchained Melody/ Streets (live)/
3. When Love Comes To Town/ Silver and Gold (live)/ Exit (live)
4. All I Want Is You/ MLK (live)/ Bad (live)
*Bad is, in my opinion, the best live performance in the movie, however it prevoiusly appeared on the WAIA EP, so I made it a b-side.
