U2 debute the song Womanfish on TV Ga Ga (an Irish TV show), January 30, 1986. Bono says it's "about a mermaid I met once in America." U2 also introduce an early version of I Trip Through Your Wires and play Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Thus begins the "American" odyssey of U2.
