Hey Y'all!

I have an mp3 of a version of Pride (In the Name of Love) where after edge finishes the initial guitar solo....another guitarist roars in and solos for a bit while Edge continues the rhythm guitar.

Does anyone know what show this is from and who the guitarist is?

The version of Pride sounds like it's from the Unforgettable Fire tour if that helps.

I've never heard of U2 allowing a guitarist to guest on Pride before (People Get Ready and others of course)

Anyone know?

I remember hearing this about a year or two ago. The rumor was that it was Eric Clapton, but I think after checking it out, most people came to the conclusion that some guy overdubbed a guitar solo over the song...

This is the song that never dies!!!!

The whole thing came around a couple years ago, and over the course of two seperate discussions, we all pretty much decided that it was a very well-done overdub by a fan, although I first thought it was a guest guitarist. I was wrong. It's definitely at overdub.
This is the last discussion

Thanks guys!

I figured it was an overdub situation like that....

still it's pretty cool!
