hi, 'tis me again, making a rare appearance to the delight of you all!
I'm sure I can squeez at least 6 responses out of this one...here's hoping

Anywho, me and a couple friends play at open mic every week. We play some original stuff but also some covers
Keeping in mind that we only have two acoustic guitars and a singer, what would you suggest we do.

To give you an idea of our style heres what we played tonight:
First Time
You and Whose Army(Radiohead)
Fall(Bruce Cockburn)
Wishlist(pearljam)

In the making:
Bohemian Rhapsody(exclduing the opera, weird stuff, of course!)
Lover You Should Have Come Over(Jeff B)

Thanks for your help!

Also, does anyone else out there play at open mics, or at paid gigs? We're planning on playing open mic for a bit until we get enough original to play a set or two.

If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat
If you get too cold, I'll tax your heat
If you talk a walk, I'll tax your feet
I'm the taxman!

This only comes to mind because I'm listening to it right now, and thinking of performing at an open mic night with my friends, but if you've got two acoustic guitars (and can maybe gank a tamborine),
and if you like Blur, "Tender" would be a show-stopper.

MOFO!

Numb.

seriously.. they wouldn't work at all, which is exactly why you should try just to see what it will be like. You can do the bass in Mofo a capella like and for Numb do it old school rap style. Yo.

I was out in Phoenix the other night and some dude got up and sang "October" on karaoke. I thought it was neat and all, but some hoss out in the audience threw a nerf football at him.
