I found this video for One on YouTube and it's not one of the three that I was familiar with. Does anyone know the story behind this video?

Not much.... It was directed by Mark Pellington, there are two versions of it, the second one is the "faces" one that's on youtube, the first is mostly just flowers and buffalo. The first version is on the Achtung Baby VHS.

that was originally intened to go on MTV but the decision was made to cut the band and play the buffalos unaccompanied, but the clip wasent popular enough so the filmed the video of the band in times square and Bono drinking in a new york pub. it all stemed from not wanting to the give wrong impression about AIDS being sexuality based which is the impresion they though Corbjins video with the band in drag might give.

Yeah it's all in the story of One doc , Anton video was pulled of coz they didnt think it was gonna be a sucess , plus were afraid they passed this image with aids being related with a gay/drag thing whatever , The video of Pellington , kind of same story , good enough to match the song in ZOOTV , but not for MTV . So there it came Joanous video.
