At least never released in America. I believe One Tree Hill was a single In Australia and New Zealand.

1. One Tree Hill
2. Like A Song
3. Elvis Presley And America
4. Spanish Eyes
5. Heartland
6. Shadows And Tall Trees
7. Acrobat

Any others?

LEMONMACPHISTO,
I Can't believe i left Bad & Gone off my list. I'll have to alter it.

Stuff that. I'll go for never a single anywhere.

Eighties singles: http://www.u2wanderer.org/disco/sing1.html
Nineties singles: http://www.u2wanderer.org/disco/sing2.html
2000s singles: http://www.u2wanderer.org/disco/sing3.html

Now, if we're just talking top seven songs that weren't singles, regardless of their single-worthiness:

1. Heartland
2. Acrobat
3. Gone
4. Wild Irish Rose
5. Slug
6. Spanish Eyes
7. God Part II

But that's just my top 15 with the singles removed until I reach a total of seven. The following is a rather tentative list of the top seven songs that should have been singles:

1. Spanish Eyes (I'm convinced this would have been a gigantic hit)
2. Gone
3. Treasure (Whatever Happened To Pete The Chop?)
4. God Part II
5. Crumbs From Your Table
6. The Electric Co.
7. Wire

UV
Acrobat
UTTEOTW
Gone
Exit
A Sort Of Homecoming
Slug (I'm counting it as a U2 song)

Bad
Until the End of the World
Running to Stand Still
Ultraviolet
God Part 2
Gone
She's a Mystery to Me/Mystery Girl.

1 Acrobat
2 Gone
3 Zooropa
4 Until the End of the World
5 Bad
6 The Electric Co.
7 Kite (just beat out Miracle Drug and Slug)

Acrobat
UTEOTW
God Part II
Daddys Gonna Pay For You Crashed Car
Miami
Wire
Running To Stand Still

Excluding songs that were released as promos ("Until The End Of The World" and "Zooropa"), as singles anywhere in the world ("One Tree Hill"), or in some cases basically a single (Wide Awake In America is the "Bad"/"A Sort Of Homecoming" single)......

1. Red Hill Mining Town
2. Running To Stand Still
3. Seconds
4. Kite
5. I Fall Down
6. Ultraviolet
7. Do You Feel Loved

I disagree with just about all the songs mentioned so far as I don't think they would appeal to the mass market.

That is apart from UTEOTW, which arguably should have been released instead of wild horses

Also, Bad - classic song - though would a radio edit do it justice?

and Treasure - Great Song, ideal single length - shame it's not finished!! Has become one of my all time favourites.

1. The Electric Co
2. Bad
3. Heartland
4. Until The End Of The World
5. So Cruel/Acrobat
6. In A Little While/Kite
7. Miracle Drug/ Crumbs From Your Table

UTEOTW
In A Little While
Spanish Eyes
A Sort of Homecoming
Seconds
A Day Without Me
Ultraviolet (light my way)

i these would have done well. They're not my very favourite songs but as singles for the radio i think they could have been popular
