October gets a mention on Sportscenter !

Sportscenter always throws out all kinds of crazy stuff. As a lead in to their "Pump up the volume" segment they mentioned that October was the name of a U2 cd and went on to say some magazine(tuned in just as they were in the middle of the deal) that said back then that it was hard to take U2 as seriously as they take themselves, but now that same magazine is singing the praises of Bomb. They said that U2 are on tour and always pumps up the volume and then they went to their segment. Anyway, I just thought that it was great to hear October get a mention of any kind on US tv.

They always drop something along the lines of "What Bono is to U2, so-and-so is to Team X"

Only with different frontmen/artists and players/teams, obviously.

I'm sure they've done the Bono one before though. I also remember them doing "What Chris Martin is to Coldplay..." and all was well in my place.
