2 things I think would take away from the performance..

1: Bono loves big crowd. Storytellers/Unplugged doesn't usually have big crowds.
2: Bono would talk too much.

Just kidding -- I love it when he talks.

However, I agree, it would be great.

"You must not look down on someone just 'cos they are 14 years old. When I was that age I listened to the music of John Lennon and it changed my way of seeing things, so I'm just glad that 14 year olds are coming to see U2 rather than group X." - Bono, 1988

... I think it would be cool if U2 were to participate in VH1's Storytellers, or something to that effect.

Ok, ok, I know they wouldn't and some people would think it were 'selling out' or cheesy, but I think it would be really cool. I am not interested in an Unplugged session, but Storytellers would rock. *Ahem... only if I were in the audience mind you.

for all our faults we carry on

That would be cool, but then again, some of U2's song might get lost in the translation of ambiguity that is so much a part of U2's music. Plus, can you imagine Bono beginning each song with a lengthy explanation...I figured we might get maybe 3 songs out of the whole show.
