PLEASE VOTE FOR YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE SONG!

Predictably, the first song to be eliminated from The Joshua Tree was Trip Through Your Wires.

Voting Results:
35 - Trip Through Your Wires
17 - Mothers Of The Disappeared
5 - Exit
2 - Bullet The Blue Sky, Red Hill Mining Town
0 - Running To Stand Still

Total votes = 61

Already Eliminated From The Joshua Tree:
1. Trip Through Your Wires

Final Qualifiers:
Boy - The Electric Co.
October - Tomorrow
War - Like A Song ...
The Unforgettable Fire - Promenade

How to play: Each album will have a series of rounds of voting. In an album's first round, all non-singles from the album will be listed and you vote for the song you think is the WORST. The song with the most votes is eliminated. This continues through the subsequent rounds until we are left with just one song from each album. These victorious songs proceed to the final, which will be conducted in the same manner until just one song is left, which you can consider to be the Best Non-Single or Least Objectionable Non-Single, depending upon your perspective.

If there's a draw, for most rounds, both songs are eliminated. If there's only 2 or 3 songs left, I'll leave the poll open for another day, when there'll hopefully be a decisive outcome.

Bullet The Blue Sky.

Mothers Of The Disappeared is an extremely haunting and eerily beautiful song.

mothers - never done 'owt for me.

(and the mastering at the end of the album is so shockingly piss-poor I rarely get that far.)

Since we're talking studio versions Exit is the only great song but I bet Running to Stand Still will win

Wow this was really hard for me!!!!
I have to go with Red Hill...(i love all of them though:( )

"Exit" would be so much cooler if it had, you know, decent volume.

Bullet The Blue Sky is an incredible piece of raw rock music, which, when performed live, goes to yet another level when Edge lets loose with his Hendrix-esque solos. How you can think it's the worst of the songs at hand right now is totally beyond me.

I love all of the songs at hand, but I'll have to vote for Red Hill.

Ever since hearing Bullet live, I have been almost incapable of even listening to the studio version.

I agree with every word in this post.

I voted for Red Hill too cos even though I like it, it's the worst of the lot here.

Bullet

You all have convinced me that I should give Running to Stand Still a listen to

Please don't hate me I just listened to RTSS and I believe I've heard it before, cause it's the song that makes me think of Sweet Child Of Mine by Guns and Roses....

Ok anyway I like this song...I'm almost 90% POSSITIVE I've heard it before.

Mothers of the Disappeared. They aren't going to find the disappeared here, so why not search for them somewhere else.

I hope one cannot be banned for poor humour.

Anyways, Mothers of the Disappeared is next. There's too much instrumental in it. Bullet is terrific, the intro I hated at first but now I love, especially when the slide guitar comes in. It just loses its touch after the second verse however.

The last third of the song is the best part!

Edge's solos, Bono's talking routine, Adam's eeiry basslines, it's all brilliant.
