it was absolutely the weirdest thing..
it was their 2nd preseason game (they won the first one 6-1 I might add
) and anyway it was against the Rangers
well, in 2nd intermission, they started showing President Bush's speech. when it was time for the 3rd period to start, they announced that the fans could go up to the main concourse to finish watching the speech if they wanted. everyone started booing and then the players refused to come out on the ice so they kept watching the speech for another 40 minutes and then called it a game after only 2 periods of play!
(it was a 2-2 tie)
I've never seen anything like that happen before in hockey, well at least not since I've been obsessive..it was really cool
