Dick Clark on TV -- They couldn't charge for this if they wanted to
Waking up after dreaming that Hal is trying to kill you -- rental of 2001 A Space Odyssey a few nights prior
Hangover -- spared, by drinking water for over an hour the night b4

I moved to this town a little over a year ago, and I really haven't made any friends like my pals back home, so I was a homebody for the evening. A guy from school did invite me out, but I'd already been drinking and didn't want to drive anywhere.

* Drove 700 miles in an attempt to start the New Year right.
* One hour of the drive was in the driving snow.
* One hour of the drive was on frozen roads going about 15 miles an hour.
* One hour of the drive was parked on I-10 waiting for a two car/five 18 wheeler pile-up to clear the highway.
* Thanks to acrob@t, some great U2 boots kept me company.
* Got to my destination at 4:00 am
* To anyone who suggested I do this, it better be worth it.

And what, z edge was here, in chat? Are you and Dennis coming to Dallas this weekend Chris?

We had another family over who also has 2 little kids, drank wine and played Trivial Pursuit while the kids ran amok, then let them stay up till midnight and share a sip of champagne.

Pretty boring but I loved it.

* Swimming in the morning, followed by a euchre tournement in the afternoon
* Had birthday party for uncle and aunt
* Had celebratory dinner of; salad, followed by rack of lamb w/ potatoes, carrots, beans, followed by blueberry cheesecake
* More euchre, along with cribbage
* Hangin out in my hotel room with 15 various family members; talking about 2001, eating crackers and cheese, watching news coverage - watched the ball drop, made lotsa noise
* Kicked everyone out, watched Tommorrow Never Dies, went to sleep

Well, I had fun last night. Nothing extraordinary, but hung out with some close friends, drank wine, played games, sang the Bono part on Numb while my friend sang Edge's,

. Then we went off to a party at a former proffessor of mine's house and drank waaaaaay too much wine and went home at 1:30am when I started seeing double.

Not good. Ugh. (The hangover part).

All this was in lovely Fresno, CA, home of The Man's grandma.

  • Came back to the house I'm living in and watched the ABC special with the couple who lets me live there
  • ate various snack food (provided by them)
  • drank no alcohol

  • surfed the net and found pics of Viggo Mortensen
  • curled up in bed reading War and Peace

It was a nice evening actually.

-Attended 3 different apartment parties in Manhattan. I guess you can call it party hopping...or something like that.

-Had a great time with friends, drank way too much, and have the hangover to prove it.

-For the third party, I went up to the roof of a midtown apartment building and got a nice view of Times Square.

-The funniest was the second party in uptown Manhattan, where we walked in and knew no one there. But it rocked!

A solid New Year's Eve. I would give the night about a 7 rating.

NYE's was a blast! Just went to a couple of parties and saw lot of friends and people I havent seen in a long time! Played bartender at my brother's and got commended for my use of a guiness spoon

-Went to the Peak with friends before midnight. Took a few photographs with the night scenary, but turns out nothing besides of me and my friends...

-Went to the city center for the countdown. Freezing cold, but a lot of fun.
-Had a few non-alcoholic drink with friends.
-Went to friend's home. Watch the TV for the countdowns of other countries(and a lot of news about Euro too).
-Switched on the computer. Came to interference with friends.
-Went to bed....z..zzzzzz...zz.zzzzzz.z.zzz...
