New Year's Day

I'm sure the answer to this is pretty simple but can anybody please tell me why it is that the band (to my knowledge) has never sang the last verse to NYD live? I really appreciate everybody's help.

The last verse wasn't in the single version...I think that's why.

It kills the energy not to sing the chorus right after the guitar solo in a live setting.

But in the album version it goes from the solo to like 10 seconds of "ohhh...baby the time is right, baby tonight" and then into the chorus, and thennn the last verse.
So it still doesnt really explain why the last verse is always cut short

In the album version the song ends with Bono singing the title and then making Bono noises each time the title is sung. Compare that to the chorus being sung over and over again. It just makes more sense to have to thousands of people singing the chorus to end the song than the way the album version ends.
