New U2 Album in 2012?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Agreed. I think that NLOTH is better than Boy, October, War, R&H, ATYCLB, Bomb, and is on the same level as TJT, Zooropa, and Pop for me, so I have reason to hope.

Hell no. Not even close. Though i stand by the opinion that MOS is the best song they have created since.....like forever.

Nah. That honour belongs to October. And even that is not too terrible.

Fraid I'll agree with that. Since I only like one song off October. And ATYCLB has Kite and WILATW, two songs I do like a lot. BD and Elevation are okay, but yeah, it has Wild honey, ialw AND s(t)uck. Plus snoozefest grace. So yeah, I'm afraid It's pretty darn low on my list.

How can you hate IALW? I'll agree it was overplayed on 360 but that shouldn't change your opinion on the song. Bono's vocal is spectacular. ATYCLB would have been a lot better with more songs like IALW and, dare I say, Wild Honey.

Sadly it did change my opinion on the song. I did actually like it beforehand, nothign spectacular, but it was an okay song. But now? I've grown to despise it and can't even stand the studio version anymore. Same with Stuck. I thought it was an okay song, then I heard the raped live version far too often. Yugh. And the horrifyingly cheesy US video for stuck doesn't help either.

Still, I thinknit's weird that a live version can make you hate a song lol. Of course, if you went to many shows I can kind of understand it.

I think I'm the only one on this board who loved the song live on 360! I'd much rather they got rid of Walk On... or heck any of the ATYCLB songs. I think its the best song from ATYCLB.

Good job breaking away from the conformity of mainstream society

and you giving likability percentages to a completely objective subject are a constructive contribution to... what exactly?

Do you realize that you essentially summed up the purpose of this forum, and all discussion of art? Every statement anyone makes about a song beyond commentary of the "this song has two guitars, a bass, and drums" or "U2 played a concert last night" is basically "giving likability percentages to a completely objective subject"?

I'm making a constructive contribution to the discussion of U2's weakest albums, which is what several people have been doing. What have you been doing aside from being needlessly critical?

Does anyone here like that song "now that we found love what are we gonna do with it?"
