No, U2's version is far superior. And I don't even like it all that much.

The All Along the Watch Tower on R&H was crap, brilliant versions were performed during Lovetown though.

The original is a ferocious rock n roll classic, U2's middling cover can't compare.

The original is annoying as hell and the lyrics are terrible to say the least.

While I prefer the original version, I think Bono handles the vocal much better than Paul McCartney.
