on my version of neon lights there is a kind of squeeling noise in the background during a lot if it, sounds like wheels turning or something. Is this meant to be there? Or is my copy bad?

I noticed that too; it's almost like a tea kettle I think. My question is this: does Bono swear? The original Kraftwerk version said "shut the fool up" on that part where Bono whispers something, but I've listened to this over and over (OK, about three times) and it sounds like he says a word that also starts with an F but is a little worse than fool. Anyone have an opinion on that???

I was a little disappointed with the sound quality of HTDAAB, i have a nice stereo and i noticed alot of noise made it to the final recording

I like this song a lot. It's nice and very simple but very catchy.
