Native Son and Xanax and Wine

Hello i have these Mp3's from pre HTDAAB, "Native son" is the demo of vertigo and have almost the same music but different lyrics, But i don't know a thing about "Xanax and wine". I'm gona put this songs for download Monday but if someone could help about some info of "Xanax and Wine" i'll appreciate cause i have no info about the song.

Xanax and Wine evolved into Fast Cars.

A shame, if you ask me; X&W contains a marvellous guitar solo.

both of these songs were given an official release on the complete u2 digital boxset available on iTunes... so if you post links to download them, your thread will be closed and the links will be removed... probably.

IMO Xanax and wine is so much better than Fast Cars. And I love Fast Cars too!

I don't think either song is better than the "final" version of each.

Native Son sounds more 'garage band', which is nice, but doesn't make for a great song.

Xanax and Wine kind of drones on for me. The guitar is both it's saving grace and an annoyance within the same song. I like Fast Cars somewhat better, but only because they slowed the tempo down (to something coherent) and took out that awful chorus (not that the Fast Cars chorus is much better).

Native Son has some great Edge singing at the right places. It really adds to the song. It's all gone in Vertigo (except for the lame Spanish shouting).

I like the X&W chorus. The lyrics are pretty good imho.
