Joshua Tree National Park in the California desert.

The tree itself actually fell down a few years ago. It is the crumpled mass on the ground... See here:

Nope. It's about 200 miles or so north of there.

Thats awesome. I'm glad to see that the tree still sits there. If it's been about 4-5 years since it fell, then I'm hopeful it will still be there in 2 when I am able to visit.

That's the name for the plant. The Mormons named it that. I forget why.

It looks like the Biblical Joshua waving his hands I believe. Its actually a Yucca. The correct name is Yucca brevifoila. They grow at certain elevations. Im no expert but will say you dont want to climb one.. I tried and got pretty cut up
