IMO, the best shows on today are by far BSG, The Office and Lost. That latter two aren't nearly as intellectual, but they're by no means brainless like a lot of the stuff on these days.

And BSG doesn't have good rating? I thought it won awards and stuff because people thought it was so great. Almost everyone at least knows what it is. It doesn't seem like it would be a ratings clunker in the slightest.
