If given the choice, I'd have taken your Luminous Times LP over Rattle & Hum.

You're right, I did do one a while back. Here's the link for reference.

Pride on JT, that's a pretty different idea!

The Luminous Times LP is pretty bitching as well.

LoveFaithSexFear sounds like a Chili Peppers album title, but I like it.

I really liked yours, especially what you did with alternate titles and the DVD releases. But I don't get why the early singles have 2 b-sides/Is That All? is a b-side on two different singles.

Yeah, I've always felt that Pride stuck out like a sore thumb on UF...it's a catchy mainstream rock song whereas the rest of UF is all about atmospherics....and Pride fits with Streets/Still Haven't/WOWY like a glove.

They had so much surplus material with the JT b-sides and the R&H studio tracks(and Wild Irish Rose!), so that was a record begging to be made.

It's LoveSexFaithFear, lol. It's taken from AMAAW - "For love and sex and faith and fear/and all the things that keep us here/in the mysterious distance/between a man and a woman".

One problem I have with yours is that you used some stuff before it actually existed - the one that stood out to me was A Celebration and Party Girl on October. They weren't recorded until after October. But I suppose it's your alternate reality and you can make U2 record it earlier if you'd like.

I need to get around to posting my alternate reality - it's frigging huge.

"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

I always felt Pride fits more with War, mainly because of the drumming, but you raise a good point with the JT placement.

I'm an idiot who cannot arrange words right, and yes, those are probably my favorite lyrics from The Bomb.

That would be interesting.

Although I don't like Pop being renamed Mofo.

All the rest (mostly Luminous Times and all the tapes and DVDs!!!) would rock.

Maybe some fortunate souls in an alternate, coinciding reality are getting this U2 course, while fans of theirs are dreaming of what we got/ are getting. Ha.

It's on the Salome Outtakes...it's basically an eary incarnation of what would become 'So Cruel', but it's different.

Between ZooTV and POPMart, write "Bono quits smoking."

The poster's right.

Black Sheep or Red-Headed Stepchild would be too awkward a title.

8 singles for Pop/Mofo?

Pride on the Joshua Tree when it was such an integral part of the Unforgettable Fire era?

Some of the albums are obviously over long too. There's something to be said for an 11 or 12-track album that you can sit down and listen to in one go rather than having an overly-bloated 14-15-16 track album that you skip through.

But I love your idea for the second disc for the best of 1980-90 - fill it up with Street Mission, etc - top class!
