McGuinness Announces Entire Catalog to be Remastered

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

The album that U2 was ready to release in 2003, but then scrapped, would be a great bonus disc to a possible remaster of HTDAAB.

We already have the original versions of SYCMIOYO, Yahweh, and ABOY, as well as Native Son and Xanax and Wine. It'd be interesting to hear what else they recored during this time period.

Do they really need to remaster Bomb? Or ATYCLB? Bomb was just 3 years ago, didn't they have the technology to release it in its best mastered format the first time?

It's great news that they're gonna be re-mastering their entire catalogue over the next few years.

The next albums on the list to be re-mastered should be

Achtung Baby
Unforgettable Fire
Zooropa

DVDs could include a ZOO TV show from 92 for Achtung Baby, maybe the full ZOO TV Special,
Im not too sure about which unforgettable fire concert to release but Zooropa DVD has got to be 1st Wembley Stadium show in 93.

Yeah that country version of A Man And A Woman would be interesting.

Nick Stewart

According to the liner notes on the Joshua Tree release, there is a person given the job of: "U2 catalogue re-release co-ordinator."

That person is Nick Stewart.

May his email address never surface on these boards...

On the upside, clearly they're serious about moving head with this re-release project. They got a guy in charge of the whole thing. Nice!
