'Lo all - do any of you know how the track was censored? Did they mute the vocal track or was it just a big nasty bleep or silence?

Steve

I think I may have a copy of that, because my copy of Pop I picked up used some years ago.

It's just a humourous bleep (like, you know, on TV) during 'Wake Up Dead Man'. I don't have too much of an issue with it. Everything else is intact.

Why did they censor it anyway? I mean, isn't a warning sticker on the cover enough?

Maybe they thought if they put the sticker on, it would lower sales? I don't know

He says "Fucked Up."

Is that's whats bleeped?

It's a dangerous idea. "Fucked Up."

People might overthrow the gvt.

Yes, the 'fucked up' is what is bleeped.

Again, I must say it's really no big deal. It's just one bleep in the whole album. Anyway, I bought it used so there wasn't a warning sticker, although I imagine there must have been one. There are probably editions out there without any censoring.
