Don't know if this is where I should post this - mods, please feel free to move to appropriate place if need-be.

Scheduled for release on 11/8/05 (date is tentative of course, if you know record companies)

The details I have are:

4 DVD set from the July, 2005 series of concerts timed to coincide with the G8 summit in Scotland. Artists include Paul McCartney, U2, Coldplay, Elton John, REM, Black Eyed Peas, Muse, Snoop Dogg, Destiny?s Child, Kanye West, Madonna, Will Smith, Linkin Park, Joss Stone, Sting, Stevie Wonder, the Who, Pink Floyd and many more. This package features every performer from the Hyde Park and Philadelphia concerts together with highlights of the other shows. 120 tracks in all plus backstage & documentary material. 12 page booklet and 5.1 Surround Sound complete this beautiful package

another thing to add to the Christmas list, along with the array of U2 stuff that is already on it

I wonder if part of the profits are being donated to charity :hmm:

Live 8 organizer Bob Geldof has high hopes for the DVD version of the humanitarian concerts that ran simultaneously this past July in London, Rome, Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin, Toronto, Philadelphia and Johannesburg.

"I hope this will be the biggest-selling DVD of all time," said Geldof recently. "It deserves to be. More importantly, perhaps, it should be, for it will help us achieve our goal of changing the lives of the extreme poor for the better and making our generation the one that helped end the disgrace of poverty."

The four-disc DVD set will feature the Paul McCartney/U2 duet along with various highlights from each city including the one off reunion of Pink Floyd. The DVD will hit shelves on November 8th just in time for the Christmas season.

"Speak to Me," Pink Floyd

They never showed this one.. not even in the AOL in-demand site

Speak to Me was merged with Breathe on AOL. It's thought of as basically the same song, since it's just a bunch of SFX. But yeah, it's there on the AOL set.
