God, how fun would it be to sing "Discotheque" at a Karaoke bar?! With the boomcha's and all... It has been ages since I've been to a karaoke bar; do they usually have a lot of U2 songs?

Mavricks in Coquitlam used to host Karaoke nights.

hahaha, couple of years ago I went to one in Richmond with some of my friends, they only had Beautiful Day and Elevation, I chose Beautiful Day... let's just say I'm never-ever going to sing that song again At least I impressed some of my friends by not having to look at the lyrics on the screen

Bono is usually way out of my singing range, and the few songs where he doesn't go higher than a D or E are never available for Karaoke. Of course, part of that may be due to the fact that I usually go to a place called The Double Nickel in Olathe, Kansas All they have is WOWY, ISHFWILF and Desire.

I'd like to do Please sometime though. I think i could nail that one.

The guy has so many songs. I've sang quite a few of them and some don't translate so well for karaoke. One being Discotheque. But its all about having fun.

Dude! This is what my friend said when my band I sing with was trying to choose a U2 song to cover. But I had to draw the line.

I always sing U2 songs at Kararoke bars, and I also always ask at piano bars, or lounge acts that take requests, etc. to do U2 songs, amazingly many, many piano bars they actually do some songs. I do "Pride" karkaroke whenever, I like to do "Streets" also.
