God, how fun would it be to sing "Discotheque" at a Karaoke bar?! With the boomcha's and all... It has been ages since I've been to a karaoke bar; do they usually have a lot of U2 songs?

1. Discotheque
2. One
3. Mysterious Ways
4. Beautiful Day
5. Vertigo (esp. if you could get everyone to yell "Hola!" and "Donde Esta?!")

hahaha, couple of years ago I went to one in Richmond with some of my friends, they only had Beautiful Day and Elevation, I chose Beautiful Day... let's just say I'm never-ever going to sing that song again :p At least I impressed some of my friends by not having to look at the lyrics on the screen :p

Bono is usually way out of my singing range, and the few songs where he doesn't go higher than a D or E are never available for Karaoke. Of course, part of that may be due to the fact that I usually go to a place called The Double Nickel in Olathe, Kansas :| All they have is WOWY, ISHFWILF and Desire.

I'd like to do Please sometime though. I think i could nail that one.

There is karaoke at a local bar and the guy has a ton of stuff. From the top of my head he has:

Pride
I Will Follow
Unforgettable Fire
Where the Streets..
Still Haven't Found
Mothers Dissapeared
Gods Country
With or Without You
When Love Comes to Town
Angel of Harlem
All I Want Is You
Desire
Even Better..
One
Mysterious Ways
Who's Gonna Ride
The Fly
Lemon
Stay
Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me..
Sweetest Thing
Discotheque
Staring at the Sun
Last NIght on Earth
Please
Beautiful Day
Elevation
Stuck
Walk On
In A Little While
Hand that Built America (Can you imagine singing this)
Vertigo

The guy has so many songs. I've sang quite a few of them and some don't translate so well for karaoke. One being Discotheque. But its all about having fun.

1. Sunday Bloody Sunday
2. Pride
3. ISHFWILF
4. Stuck In A Moment

and my personal favourite - Angel of Harlem. No karaoke machine is spared of Angel Of Harlem when i'm around ;)

Not Discotheque. The boom-chas would kill me. It doesn't sound right without a bunch of people doing it. It never sounded right live to me.

Damn,, i could go for some Karaoke right now,, Throw down a few beers and have some fun

Numb
4th Of July
Freedom For My People
Bass Trap
Alex Decends To Hell For A Bottle Of Milk

I always sing U2 songs at Kararoke bars, and I also always ask at piano bars, or lounge acts that take requests, etc. to do U2 songs, amazingly many, many piano bars they actually do some songs. I do "Pride" karkaroke whenever, I like to do "Streets" also.
