I must admit something, I am terribly in love with a particular girl, but we will not be able to see one another until the summer, and communication will be difficult between now and then.

So, I am asking, if you were in her place and you received a mix CD with the following songs on it, in this order, what would you think?

Creed "With Arms Wide Open"
U2 - "Where The Streets Have No Name"
U2 "Wild Honey"
Coldplay "Yellow"
Dido - "Thank You"
Roy Orbison - "She's A Mystery To Me"
New Order - "Temptation"
U2 - "The Sweetest Thing"
New Order - "60 MPH"
U2 - "North And South Of The River" (Live At Omgah Tribute Concert)
Lou Reed - "Perfect Day"
Simon And Garfunkel - "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
U2 - "All I Want Is You"

Notes: No comments about track 1.

As much as I would like to include "Kite", I think it would send the wrong idea.

I would freakin' melt if I got a CD like that!

I agree about your feelings towards "Kite"...since you are apart, the "I know that this is not goodbye" line would be good, but the entire song itself might not send the right message (at least not in the way the other songs can).

I also wanted to say that this is my 2000th post! Woo hoo!

HowEVER did that happen??

I agree with the kite thing(kite is a bit too sad in this situation...), and I agree that I'll melt if I received that CD too!!! Go for it...

Well, you said no comments about the first track but I have to say that when I think of that song, I think of a dude and his kid...I personally wouldn't have it on there...with no opinion shared on Creed...*raincloud shrugs her shoulders*

To Gonzo or anybody else-"Omgah Tribute Concert"-what is the exact title of this recording, is that it,what artist would it be listed under? Was trying to find it recently in fav. rec. store -unsuccessful..Somebody Help! Please.

or is it only a bootleg? I still don't have this, but have heard it's amazing!?

nice songs (though i haven't heard the New Order and that S & G thing).
not bad choices...i would love it.

but then again, she loves you for who you are, not the music.

Yeah I think In A Little While would be good too. Then again I am a strong advocate of putting IALW wherever it possibly could fit because I love it so much.. but it would work here.

Re: "North And South Of The River (Live At Omagh Tribute Concert)"... I have no idea where to get the song on CD, but I do have the MP3. It is easy enough to find on Audio Galaxy. Just look for "North And South Of The River". Any track listed as "live" will be it. As far as I know, the Omagh concert was the only performance of "North And South...."

Re: Creed....not exactly my favorite band in the world, but the song must be on the CD.

Re: other songs..... "Kite" sounds too much like "we will never be together again" despite the "I know that this is not goodbye part".

I really want to add the cover of "Everlasting Love" and Procul Harum's "Whiter Shade Of Pale".
