Exactly. The thing that was cool about John and Yoko with Mike Douglas was they were the co-hosts and brought in a lot of cool people for interviews. Maybe if U2 did something like that, performed but also did interviews and brought in musicians, directors, artists, writers and so forth that interested them, that would be fantastic. I doubt they'd ever do it in the states though, maybe on the Late, Late Show in Ireland.

I would LOVE to see the whole band do charlie rose on PBS for the hour he usually asks good questions and tries to get beyond whatever people are promoting.

Great idea...

I think the Lennon/ Yoko example on the Michale Douglas show is very interesting...

Bono is a great interview/ interviewer type IMO... great quotes, awesome experiences, and good sense of humor...

Plus a new song a night...

That would be great... they could pull an Andy Richter type of deal...

Nah, too much.

And the day I saw the White Stripes live, that was just about the longest 90 minutes of my life. Their music is alright, but they're very aloof and dull on stage.

isn't saying "never mention U2 and the White Stripes in the same sentence" using u2 and the white stripes in the same sentance?

u2 may very well be on conan

last night there was a young irish actress, like 8 years old, i forget her name, and she told a story about how she was working on a movie and somebody gave her the phone and told her to say hi to bono, so she did and they talked and now she and him are best friends. and conan asked her to tell bono to come on the show.

so obviously they will be on conan to support the new album.
