Is Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead) better than the Edge

Is Johnny Greenwood a better player than the Edge? Who is a better guitar player overal. Who is better technicaly. Who is more inovative. Who is more of a sophisticated player. Who has a better sound. I am interested to hear what the musicians here have to say who know more about the guitar. What do u guys think.

I have been listening to and discovering Radiohead and have been very impressed with their music. Both older and newer music. Harder rocking albums and more classic sound albums like The Bends seem to be inovative musicaly as Greenwoods guitar playing never sounds like cliche rock guitar. I feel like I am betraying U2 because lately the thought has crossed my mind thay maybe Radiohead is better than U2.

You are so right. You are only allowed to love one band.

I'm such a band adulterer.

Radiohead is a much better band technically in pretty much every way, but I think the Edge has a better style.

Johnny is definitely more skilled, though.

more innovative

or special

than picaso?

im not sure the answer
you're looking for

will be found on this forum.

the edge has a unique
style
that cannot be duplicated or replicated
in terms of music
creation.

johnny greenwood
has his own style
and it suits his band
would it suit others?

sure
radiohead has some good / great songs

overall
their catalogue lacks

and the radiohead yuppies
may eat me alive

i dont find many memorable
riffs from radiohead.

the edge, i do.

Art is not a handicraft,
It is the transmission of feeling

is memory the essence of art?

is a moment less significant than a universe? isn't every universe but a moment? time is only within your mind, and your mind is but a fading vision of time

radiohead101010101010... are they the instantaneous, or are they the eternal?

edge uses delay. notes echo and thus an experience is repeated. greenwood

uses ...

the tools of all macrosms

but he is cold

distant
suffocating.

the edge can breathe, for his lungs convey warmth. emanating through a mortal instrument

is one truly more siginficant than the other?

which one evokes the ardor of your soul?//??/¿

my soul

enjoys the path of warmth

and growht to blossom

blossoming further into life
instead of

death

and cold ness

what is the point of living
if death is already conceded in your heart?

why achieve coldness
when coldness exists?

why not strive
to embark upon
a quest of happiness
and joy

for isnt that the point in life?

to me
that is the difference
between the guitarists.

Radiohead are good at being Radiohead, U2 are good at being U2.

Neither is better than the other.

but the edge is more than 7ust fire

notes reverberate all around, conveying the truth of humanity...

but jonny...

thedispairpermeatingoursocietycanonlybecuredwithparanoia

sick enough to infect me
but too far gone to protect me

Do you surrender...///??//???

there is something beyond death. it is not death, but fear

does edge not also understand? The Edge is a conglomerate of all. He is The Truth. listen to his sorrow...

this is my ode to greenwood's sucient genius, and sums up my arguement to his spiritual/technical/existentialestial superiority over the edge.

Stare at either long enough and I can see a giraffe wearing a sailor suit.
