What songs have U2 done that are all (or mainly) instrumental...I don't want to go shuffling through the WHOLE Lyrics Archive...

Thanks!

First one that comes to mind is Alex Descends into Hell for a Bottle of Milk/Korova 1...

*I can't see that thief that lives inside of your head
But I could be some courage at the side of your bed
I don't know what's happening and I can't pretend
But I could be your, be your...*

Let's see...

Endless Deep
Bass Trap (a favorite)
60 Seconds In Kingdom Come
Boomerang I and II

Then the Passengers stuff...
United Colours
Always Forever Now
Beach Sequence (another fave)
Plot 180
Theme from the Swan
Theme from Let's Go Native
Bottoms (Wata...well, look it up :)
Viva Davidoff

And there's weird stuff like the Wire dub. Oh, and early stuff like Things To Make and Do. And if you're really hungry for U2 instrumentals, you can find the Salome outtakes, which has instrumental versions of Even Better Than the Real Thing and an early (very long) version of North and South of the River.

Hello,

I want to add 4th Of July and Race Against Time.

I also think that Boomerang II does not belong in this category as it has lyrics (certainly more than Race Against Time). It's also listed as Boomerang II (Vocal), so that should be an indication.

Anyway, I think this is the complete list, instrumental remixes excepted.

C ya!

Marty

Always Forever Now is not an instrumental. Neither is Beach Sequence.

October has lyrics...

"October, and the trees are stripped bare...of all they wear, but what do I care?
October, and kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall, but you go on...and onnnnnn"

I hate it when people make lists, but then add to them in a paragraph.

(I.E - I mentioned a song not in the list, but in the paragraph, so now I edited)

Coincidentally, WMP has decided to play 60 Seconds in Kingdom Come right now!
