If I'd been in charge of the order of release of U2 songs, this is how it would have gone. I expect to be yelled at for some of my ideas. But when I get ideas like this, I can't get them out of my head until I get them onto paper. And once I've gone through copious amounts of labor doing this, I must have an audience to bounce my thoughts off of. So, flame if you will. But this is how I would have done it if I were in charge (and some of you may be glad I'm not).

Tourist, ever considered getting a hobby? Or maybe doing as your name suggests?????

I'm usually very busy with work, my band, my girl, writing, walking, reading, churchwork, and on the go in general. But I had a two hour lull between when I got home from band practice and when my girlfriend got off work.

I actually really like this idea

HMTMKMKM however seems a bit out of place though

Well, that's good. I was just getting a little, well, concerned

I don't like taking Ultraviolet off of AB--I really feel it's important to the overall theme/story of the album, and I think AB wouldn't be as good any other way... In the same vein, I guess I wouldn't take off TTTYAATW either, even though I don't love it as much as Ultraviolet. But still essential to my mind.

Otherwise it's some interesting thoughts, not at all interesting in a bad way. I do really like the changes to the last two albums, especially HTDAAB--you've given them a KICK that I think they really need. And there's no excuse for opening an album with the first single (Vertigo) instead of the song that was just made for it (COBL).

I don't think that I'm cool with "double A side" singles.

I can't imagine Achtung gutted that way. It isn't just a collection of songs, it's a story.

Why is Summer Rain not on All That, and why is New York there? (personal taste, I guess)

It would be a shame making so many great Passengers tracks B-sides. Sometimes it is good to have a B-album. You know?

You released Knocking on Heaven's Door twice.

Good work putting Zooropa and the Fly on the best of.

It's fun playing what if, isn't it? And you know, with your MP3s you CAN make all of these albums and re-write history!:)

i just used your lists for albums on my MD player, and they flow smoothlly, greta job

LMAO
I was just going to say I think someone has too much time on their hands.
I can gladly share my job with you if you'd like.:giggle:

No thanks! 40 hours of work a week plus 15 hours of preparing for/helping out with church youth group plus 10 hours of band practices keep me pretty busy!

I like all the idea except Wild Honey still on ATYCLB, Three Sunrises going AWOL, and the deconstruction of Achtung Baby

other than that, I think that's pretty cool you put all the time and effort into this
