My wife and I and some friends were in a Winn-Dixie Supermarket near Panama City Beach, Florida over the Easter weekend and the in-store elevator music system (MUZAK) played an elevator music cover version of U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."

That's cool! My little bro and I always like to play "name that tune" with elevator music. I never get to hear any U2 songs though! Drat!

My mom always gets really pissed at me when I play U2 MIDIs on the computer. She says, "They're ruining the songs!"

That's great. I've heard some too. It's a sign that the song is so famous and recognizable that it can be distiguished by a lame instrumental version. It's a comliment really. It means the are a household word and one of the most notable bands ever. What an honor!
