help finding interview

Earlier this year Interference posted an interview Bono did with a newpaper reporter (can't remember which city) that I'd very much like to read again. This reporter had called U2 out for being too commercial, so Bono sat down with him for an interview that was quite long, fairly heated in parts, and as eloquent a defense of targeting the mainstream as I've ever heard.

Bono wasn't totally convincing -- I still wish U2 would stop trying be all things to all people -- but it was a pretty fascinating take on the band's relationship with the audience.

Anyway, I thought I saved the damn thing, but now I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know the article I'm talking about -- and where I can find it again?
