Found some fantastic quotes by the band. I know there are threads like this but you have to read this:

Larry: If you look at the cover of The Joshua Tree you see 4 very unhappy men. What nobody realizes is that it was minus 20 out there. We were freezing! Put any bastard out there and see if he's happy.

Interviewer: Do u consider yourself a good dancer,Bono?
Bono: I dance much better horizontally than vertically.

My favorite:
Interviewer: Why a lemon?
Reply: Why NOT a lemon?

Bono: Is this rock and roll? How the fuck would I know? (Until the End of the World ending, Wembley Stadium, August 11th 1993)

Fan named Matt: (As a fellow fan prepares to take a picture of him with Larry)
"You know Larry, I'm a drummer in a band too."
Larry: (Looks at fan and shrugs, smiling pleasantly toward the camera)
"Well, Matt, we all have our problems." (After a PopMart gig)

C'mon guys, write some of the quotes you know.

Something on MTV a few months ago, I don't remember exactly what...

Interviewer: What was your longest tour?
Larry: ZOO TV; 2 and a half years with an album in the middle.
Interviewer: And the most tiring tour?
Larry: ZOO TV... two and a half years with an album in the middle.
(discret laughs by Bono, Edge and Adam)

Pure :larry:

'They know that they can't dance'

I was watching footage of a Scissor Sisters gig the other day, and the camera cuts to part of the crowd and sure enough, there's Bono bopping away. The most out of time, awkward looking dancer......

Wasn't there a quote years ago discussing religion, something about how they joked they were members of the Frisbeetarian Order, and they believed when you died, your soul gets stuck up on a roof and no one can get it down?

Interviewer: Edge, are you a virgin?
Edge: Of course I am!
Interviewer: Then how come you have children?

Brillant, class, Im laughing.

If Punk died when Sham 69 got NF'd at gig after gig, Post Punk died with Ian (Curtis) and was reborn with Bono as the new Rock and Roll. Tony Wilson

MTV's Leaving nothing behind special, recorded around the time of Elevation tour.

"The music will tell you where to go." - Edge, on making albums

"When we played together in a room, sparks went off." - Bono, on the early years

"As hard as it can get, there's still moments where the four of us can shut out the world." - Adam

Bass players get the weirdest fans. I tend to get the bespectacled M.I.T. students. Bono gets the poets. And Larry, unfortunately, gets the girls. We should have gotten a Ringo
-Edge, U2 at the End of the World

Q: If you were an animal, which animal would you be?
Adam: A giraffe. Why? 'Cos then you'd meet other giraffes.
<BP Fallon interview>

Kurt Loder: Surely there's more to it than that
Larry: Don't call me Shirley
< MTV interview>

"Men should not be forced to wear pants when it's not cold." -Adam

I got another one Cassis"I could go onstage unzip my pants and pull my :censored: out and people would think I was making a statment about something"

I have that interview on tape it's so funny

From U2 Uncovered:

Cat Dealy (Interviewer): When Bono is singing SYCMOYO, he is obviously very emotional thinking about his father, and the death of his father... when doing such a song like that when Bono is in that state what are you thinking about?

Larry: Staying In Time...

U2 did a chat with.....oh geez, I want to say MSN, but I'm not sure....well, someone a few years ago around the time of Vertigo. It was utterly wall-to-wall hilarious. Does anyone remember this?

In the meantime another Bono quote"Overcomming my dad telling me I would never amount to anything is what has made me the Megalomaniac you see today"

I've seen that one before too - on a poster on my mother in law's wall. It's just one of those generic, feel good, middle-aged Chicken Soup For The Soul kind of sayings
