I think he doesnt want the sign contents to be known... lol.. good luck Arun!

Unless there's more to the sign on the back I'm afraid it's already public knowledge. Congrats!!! That's a really cool story, even more amazed that you were able to improv lyrics, good ones btw, considering how nervous you were. Good showing, you make us proud!!!!

Have fun at NYC and if you get lucky again don't think twice about posting it you nearly killed us with anxiety

So, "friend" of U2...Yes, that was worth the wait! Just amazing that you got to be in the spotlight with the best band in the world!! Proving also that U2 fans (especially those at interference) are the best in the world!
So happy for you!

Arun, congratulations! That is an incredible story and I'm glad it happened to someone like you who'll always treasure it. You rock!
(I want a pick from Edge!)

Arun--

I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I'm not sure you know, but just after you were taken backstage and everyone was still reeling from the experiencee (great job with the lyrics, btw!! i loved that!!), Bono went over to Edge and leaned into him. After saying something I couldn't catch, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "I thought he could play!" as though he were apologizing to Edge. (You could read his lips; no, I wasn't close enough to hear him!)

I HONESTLY don't think we was actually "apologizing," though. You really saved the day with the lyrics improv, and I'm certain they all know it!

Anyway, great job. I, too, patted you on the back and said great job after the show, but the throng arounnd you was too large for you to notice.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! I know you needed the lift... I'm so glad you got pulled up. That's the experience of a lifetime!

Peace to you!

that's a great story, Arun! i'm glad for you. i love how you quoted Bono's improvised lyrics. that was great. i remember them from from Boston night 1 or 2. i also loved the part about the American flag. that was a nice touch. probably even more powerful coming from a non-American.

congrats! and i hope you get your second chance.

Arun, you lived an experience that most of us have dreamed about. Thank you for sharing your story, this will definitely be one of the highlights of this tour.

Hey Arun, you were probably too nervous to notice, but Bono made up a verse about you when you were trying to play. "People get ready/Its a brand new guitarist/pulling out chords/from I dont know where"

Brother Arun-
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Completely Beautiful!
Your night was a representation of the MESSAGE of U2's music and Bono's demonstrative love.

God Bless You..
Sleep well friend.

Arun--

Nah, nobody looked pissed or angry at all! Bono had an expression more like an actor who just came out of a great improv routine that worked. (Relief, maybe?) As I mentioned, he said "I thought he could play" with a bit of a "playful apology." They weren't upset at all!

Congratulations, again, A!

OK, guess that wasn't Arun in Chicago...
Whatever, I'm still delirious and sleep deprived and I have to work late tonight. Blah.

But congrats anyway Arun!!!!
