I was watching Friends earlier (a really old one) and Ross and Rachel got in a fight. Ross called a radio station and dedicated WOWY to Rachel..and she still didn't forgive him!

If a guy dedicated that song to me, I'd either feel really bad or really good

Anyone else seen this episode?

OK, but didn't the whole "We were on a break" start with that episode? Wasn't this episode when Ross began to say that?
Don't ask me though, I'm a pseudo "friends" fan......

Ooh! I was watching that last night too. I'm obsessed with Friends. Not nearly as much as with U2, but still...

The "we were on a break" thing is way later. The episode from last night is from season 2, before they officially got together.

Also, you might be interested to know that my mom saw David Schwimmer in Las Vegas when she was out there for the first Popmart show. I guess he went to the concert.

They played WOWY again during the 3rd season, when Ross and Rach broke up. Ross went to this bar and they started playing the song. Ross was like, "I love this song..." Who doesn't?

That's interesting.

OTOH, I don't know how true this is, but the day after the Grammys (this year), I heard the DJ on the radio say that Matthew Perry had wanted to present a Grammy just to be able to see U2. And so he did.

Go Matthew! If I were famous enough to be on the Grammy awards I'd totally try to weasle my way in to see U2.

Do any of you know the name of the Friends episode with WOWY? The one where Ross dedicates it to Rachel, not the one where he hears it on the jukebox.

It's called "The One with the List."

They should make a law for tv or movies, that when a guy dedicates a U2 song, the girl should melt! and forgive the guy of any mistakes.

Please...don't make me say please, champagne and ice cream, it's not what I want, it's what I need.

Hey, no problem. I'm a "Friends" junkie. Currently trying to get as many episodes on tape as possible. Oh, and if anybody cares, they're releasing the entire first season on DVD the 30th of this month.

Heehee. I'm a Friends junkie too. I have Seasons 1-6 and part of 7 on DVD. If I knew there was going to be a US release, I would've waited a bit.

It's so unfair that they released it on DVD to GB first. Just MEAN! What about the hometown fans? Well, I hope the rest of the seasons follow shortly after season 1!
