Did anyone see the 1st game yesterday?

They announced a lot of groups "playing with u2 at halftime".

I don't want to comment until someone else verifies what they said.

Sounds like a we are the world get together.

Yah.. Amidst my frustration of watching both of the teams I wanted, lose, I did hear that, I'm not sure what to make of it.. I'd bet they're proly with Paul McCartney and his recent 'Freedom' concerts.. like that benefit one..

They were announcing the pregame show, with U2 playing at halftime. Don't worry.

Look what you did, you little JERK!

Kevin! You're such a disease!

What some people don't know is that the superbowl pregame show starts around 2 and the game doesn't begin until about 5 (give or take).

I heard on the radio that BNL and No Doubt were going to be there, too. I don't remember who else...

This is what I heard...

-No Doubt and Barenaked Ladies will perform at a pre-game tailgate show.

-Paul McCartney will perform at a pre-show event.

-Marc Anthony and Mary J. Blige will perform the Star-Spangled Banner before the game begins.

-Mariah Carey will perform "America the Beautiful" right after Anthony and Blige perform.

-U2 will perform three songs during halftime, complete with harleys, 1000 "Elevation" dancers, and lots and lots of soul.

Hey, Dano- I thought you were going to fix this. Have you been falling down in the job?

At least Bono and the boys are performing by themselves. I don't like those....montage...collage....things like last year.

Won't the silicone make the Playboy Bunny's top heavy and leaning forward on Fear Factor, and they'll fall off when they're up high? Are all the guys on here taping that so they don't miss it later? Or taping U2 for later, and not missing the silicone?

I was gonna start a thread, but then I thought "No, I musn't." I'm guessing no one is going to look here anyway...damn.

From youtwo.net:

What Will They Play For The Super Bowl?

When U2 headlines the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 3rd,
they will be seen by 800 million people worldwide - but what will
they play ?

The band will play three songs and, according to the people at
SuperBowl, they are already decided on which ones. But no-one is
letting on.

All they will say is that one of the following songs will be on the
playlist.

* I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
* Desire
* Beautiful Day
* Pride (In the Name of Love)

You can make your prediction in a poll on the SuperBowl website
at www.superbowl.com

Meanwhile Billboard.com are carrying a report on the complete
musical line-up for the biggest day in the US sporting calendar. It
includes the Barenaked Ladies and No Doubt as well as The
Boston Pops and country artist Wynonna joined by Barry Manilow,
Yolanda Adams, James Ingram and Patti LaBelle

Paul McCartney will headline a pre-game 'tribute to the spirit of
everyday heroes.' The performance will involve 500 young people
representing the 180 countries that will telecast the Super Bowl
worldwide.

Mary J. Blige and Marc Anthony will perform 'America the
Beautiful' backed by the Boston Pops who will also back Mariah
Carey, performing the US National Anthem prior to kickoff.

And then, come half time, U2 will bring the proceedings to a
musical climax...but what will they be performing?

I say........BD, but then again, who knows?

Oh, it's like they're not gonna play Beautiful Day.

"You gotta love living, baby, 'cause dyin's a pain in the ass."-- Frank Sinatra

Adam: Look guys, I got a Springfield spoon for my spoon collection.
Edge: Oh boy, here we go...
Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!
