What do I need to explain? It's well known that Henry Rollins despises U2 and Bono.

The point I was trying to make was despite his hatred towards the band he does like Lemon.

It's Henry Rollins that is so "negative" to U2.

My point was why should we care if he does or doesn't like Lemon.

Rollins is unecessarily negative & aggressive. I've read his books & heard him live.
I thought it was quite creative to mix two songs together & come up with another one. That's what they do in the studio a lot - listen to the Achtung Baby Outtakes for examples.
