i just bought a music dvd and i notice in small print

"Do you have a surround sound system? if so, this is the DTS VERSION -dolby digital version available seperatley"

what does this mean? which is better? should i try to return it for the other one? (i left the packaging on)

PS: i dont currently have a surround sound system, but might be getting one in the future

DTS uses less compression, and supposedly is better... Most people can't tell the difference though. I can't and have tried repeatedly. Dolby Digital is way more common.

Of course if you get a system that can play both, no worries. If not I would choose Dolby over DTS.. just seems to be more available.

Just my thoughts. Others may differ ~
