Rock n' Roll Doggie
Well, I didn't mean any offense by my other post on this subject. Sorry if anyone took any.
Obviously, it couldn't ever happen, but what kind of a Pope would Bono make? The next pope is already being discussed on the front pages of all the major newspapers, so this isn't a "taboo" or even controversial topic of discussion.
Bono is:
1. Catholic
2. Has more followers than any of the other candidates for Pope
3. Is respected throughout the world for his faith, conviction, and work for the poor
4. Is charismatic and wildly popular
5. Incorporates his religion into his work more explicitly than any other celebrity
6. Has the respect, friendship of world leaders
7. Is a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize
8. Received personal blessing from Pope John Paul II
...Of course, the church would never consider it, and Bono would never agree to it, but it's hard not to consider the possibility, isn't it?
