Pop got nominated for Best Rock Album (the same award ATYCLB won this year), but it did not win the Grammy.

Yes and No. Yes, Dylan's Time Out Of Mind won Album Of The Year in 1998, but No he did not win instead of U2 as U2 wasn't nominated for Album Of The Year. AFAIK, Dylan wasn't nominated for Best Rock Album.

I believe John Fogerty's solo album beat out POP that year. Sentimental favorite I suppose.
