I was watching some MTV show thing yesterday and it said that Madonna turned our dear Bono down for a duet? Anyone know if this is true or not?

yeah, she did. the fool. i think it was a scheduling conflict or something. he wanted her to do WGO, but she was in the middle of her tour. but who wouldn't make accomidations for bono!?

Madonna has a pretty unremarkable voice. You'll never catch her doing a duet with the likes of Bono or Sinatra because they'd show her up. Which is no mean feat for Frank because he's been dead for months.
Madonna is above all a great businesswomen and getting outshone by Bono wouldn't be a wise marketing decision for her.

I heard a story on one of the U2 newsgroups awhile back about U2 beating out Madonna on an award, and when she found out she stomped out of the awards, screaming about how U2 beat her.

Not relevent exactly -- just funny, IMO! I wonder if it's true?
