Decipher Vertigo's lyrics

thanks for the lyrics, I dont know how you guys understood some of these lines but they seem right on. Listening to the clip and trying to follow the lyrics drowns out those two spanish guys too

Ok, I just read the Hot Press article about the new album, and Neil McCormick agrees that this song sounds like early U2. So clearly, I am not insane. Whew.

Also, someone mentioned "take you to a place called Kokomo", and now that's all I can hear. Actually, I can hear just about anything that people have mentioned here. (Must...wait...for official cd booklet...Gaahh!)

I am fairly certain that the last line is:

"I can feel your love taking me high-igh-igh-er."

I could be wrong but it just sounds so much like "higher."

Has anybody noticed that the word "Hey" seems to be shouted in the background after each of the first two lines of the chorus?

It's funny, but I didn't even notice it until I'd listened to the clip for a number of times, but now that I hear it, I think it's just about the best part of the chorus. It really pumps up the song's energy!

Sounds silly to argue these shitty clips but I don't think that's 98% right, but it's not as if these are good clips to listen from, especially that middle segue part.

The parts I disagree with, and I have tried everything using my Sound Forge which is an excellent editing tool to make a better version, but the originals are so shitty, it's very hard. The two I made aren't bad though.
